Our objective is to design a LiDaR (Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging) sensor, very high resolution and long range (1km) for aircraft, and thus improve the perception of their in-flight environment in extremely degraded weather conditions and thus flight safety.
This project responds in particular to the need for remote detection of obstacles to be avoided during cruise, in particular cables.
The proposed solution is the development of a Scanning Flash Lidar. “Scanning” provides a large angular coverage, while “Flash” allows a high resolution locally on a very small angle.
